Container, RoRo or enclosed truck
Within Europe an enclosed truck is usually the sensible choice. Overseas, a dedicated or shared container protects a collector car far better than roll-on/roll-off shipping.
Insurance follows declared value
Transport insurance is priced against the declared value, so an accurate valuation matters. Under-declaring to save premium leaves you exposed at exactly the wrong moment.
Destination costs
Port handling, import duty, local taxes, customs brokerage and inland delivery are separate from the freight rate. Ask for a landed cost, not just a shipping quote.
