Export

Export a Classic Car from Germany

De-registration, export plates, customs documents and title transfer, handled end to end.

Export is a paperwork discipline. Get the sequence right and a car leaves Germany in days; get it wrong and it sits in a warehouse. We prepare every document a customs office, shipper and destination authority will ask for, and give you copies of all of it.

The export file

Every export leaves Kiel with the same core set of documents, extended as the destination requires.

  • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II (title) and de-registration confirmation
  • Commercial export invoice with chassis number and Incoterm
  • Export plates (Ausfuhrkennzeichen) with transit insurance
  • T1 transit / EUR.1 preference certificate where applicable
  • Bill of lading or CMR waybill with tracking reference
  • Certified translations of title and service history on request

Age matters for duty

Many destinations treat vehicles over 25 or 30 years old as collector items with reduced duty or exemption from modern compliance rules. We confirm the classification for your country in writing before the car ships, and prepare the evidence of build date the authority will want.

Coordinated with transport

Paperwork and logistics run in parallel: enclosed transport or container booking is confirmed against the same timeline as the customs filing, so the vehicle never waits for a document.

Common questions

Is the invoice VAT-free?
For genuine export outside the EU, where the statutory proof of export is provided, the invoice is issued without German VAT. Inside the EU the treatment depends on your status; we confirm it in writing before contract.
Who de-registers the car?
We do, as part of the mandate, and issue the confirmation with the export file.
